A major new commission by Igshaan Adams will be presented by ICA Miami as part of their Winter 2025 Season, opening in December.
Lulu, Zanele, Zandile, Savannah (2025) is a site-specific work created for ICA Miami’s three-story stairwell, featuring four cascading tapestries and a constellation of suspended “dust cloud” sculptures, inviting multiple vantage points as visitors move through the museum. Composed of threads, beads, wire and other repurposed materials, Adams’ tapestries and sculptures draw on Sufi spiritual practices and traditional crafts, as well as dance and ritual movement, exploring themes of embodiment and transformation.
Organised by Gean Moreno, Director, Art + Research Center at ICA Miami.
