Michael Landy, LOOK at Hastings Contemporary, opening Saturday 27 September 2025.

This new focusses on Landy's skill as a draftsman, presenting a group of intensely personal drawings reflecting on memory, vulnerability, and family relationships. These works are accompanied by a new self-portrait, made for the exhibition, as well as his Nourishment etchings, rendering weeds in meticulous detail to reveal a hidden beauty in these symbols of resilience and survival.

Together, these works offer an insight into Landy’s ongoing exploration of our ideas of value and that which is deemed marginal, finding beauty, dignity and complexity in unexpected or commonly overlooked subjects.
