Catherine Opie will deliver a lecture at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin this Thursday, 19 February, 7.30–9pm.

In her lecture, Opie will provide insights into her artistic practice, the development of her work, and the societal questions that continue to drive her practice today. A Q&A session will follow, offering an opportunity for exchange and discussion.

This event coincides with Opie’s new exhibition The Pause That Dreams Against Erasure at the Fridericianum, Kassel (14 February–19 July 2026), her first solo museum exhibition in Germany, and is organised by Neue Nationalgalerie, the American Academy in Berlin, and the Fridericianum.
