29.6.26 - Artists in Conversation: Cecily Brown and Celia Paul at Serpentine, London Cecily Brown and artist Celia Paul will be in conversation at the Serpentine Pavilion on Monday 6 July at 7pm, coinciding with Brown’s current exhibition Picture Making at Serpentine, London (27 March–6 September 2026).

At this live, in-person event, the artists will discuss their individual approaches to painting, daily studio practices and the images that continue to inspire them. While their artistic sensibilities differ significantly, Brown and Paul share a deep commitment to painting as a means of looking, memory and transformation. Their shared fascination with colour, painterly process and art history is reflected in an exchange of letters excerpted in the exhibition catalogue Cecily Brown: Picture Making, offering a glimpse into the affinities and differences that shape their practices.
