In celebration of Steve McQueen as the winner of the 2026 Erasmus Prize, the artist will appear in conversation with film journalist Dana Linssen about his vast body of work, centring on art practice and film making, and how history shapes our present. The evening will be accompanied by a musical performance from Dumama, a nomadic ‘future folk’ musician and performer from South Africa.

Ahead of the event, at 4pm and 4.30pm, there will be a special introduction from a contemporary curator to McQueen’s work Remember Me (2016), currently on view as part of the museum's collection. These were first shown in The Netherlands in 2017 by Julius Vermeulen at EENWERK, Amsterdam, in the solo exhibition Remember Me.

Tickets for the event are available now. Tickets for entry to the museum collection can be added to your order at the time of booking.
